Winter is so exciting. :)
Last week I had a voice lesson--yes, I am taking voice lessons, and it is so fun! BUT, I am beginning to think I should have taken a couple months off to allow Spring to arrive. My teacher lives up behind Timp View High School, at the top of a loverly hill, in a cute little community. It's a quiet little place, speed limit 15mph--with pretty impressive speed bumps to encourage compliance. The exciting part is we have had a lot of snow, and they do not plow the roads in her community. So, in my cute little green compact car--no 4-wheel drive--this is how my trip goes:
Wheels, "spiiin, spiiin, spiiin..." go, go, go.... okay! Speed bump at 20 mph! POW! Queen, 'Ah, stupid foot! Scared by a stupid speed bump! Now we're stuck again!' Car goes vrrrrrooom, rock back, vrrrrrooooom, rock back, vrrrrroooom, rock back, spiiiiin, go, go, go.... yay! Speed BUMP! Queen, 'darnit.' Car goes vrrrrrooooom, rock back, vrrrrrooooom, rock back.... kind neighbor gives us a push.... go, go, go, BUMP, go, go, go...
So, it takes me 20 minutes to get to her little community, and 10 minutes to go the last 3 blocks.

BTW, in case you were wondering, my kids drank the "magic milk" just fine. (It took me a minute to get up the guts to try it--it's not bad.) In fact, after I finally went to the store, little princess chose magic milk over regular milk. She thinks it tastes "caramely".
